This article will explain how to change the ownership on a unit.

Please note that changing ownerships will not amend the apportionments for the unit. For instruction on how to split or transfer a demand between the owners please see our article below:

Splitting/ Transferring a Demand Between Owners

To change an ownership the first stage is to end the current ownership. This can be completed by opening the block, navigating to the unit list and clicking the small house icon next to the unit you wish you make these changes on.

Once here please navigate to 'Leaseholds' on the left menu and open your ownership by clicking the eye icon:

Once you have the ownership open please navigate to 'Details' on the left-hand menu and you can now un-tick 'Is Current' and put an end date.

Once complete please click 'Update' at the bottom. Now click back on your browser twice until you are back to the 'Leaseholds' page (or navigate back there from the unit list as instructed above if you are lost). Now this page will have a button called 'Add New Ownership'.

Please click this to create your new owner. Please make sure that the start date for this ownership is not overlapping the end date of the previous owner at all. Once you have filled out the relevant details please click 'Create'. You will now be taken to the area in which you enter you owners full details such as address etc. Please click the icon of the person with the plus to begin:

Once you have clicked this please either select an existing person if the leaseholder is already on Resident or fill in the details as you would like. Now click 'Create' and you will have set up a new ownership with a Leaseholder inside it and ended the previous.
