Uploading/Creating Your Schedule Contributions (Apportionment)

There are two methods of creating schedules within Resident; import and manual. We would suggest using import if you have more than one schedule to add or if the percentages vary a lot but if it is only one schedule and it is fairly simple then manual would be faster. Here we will go through both the manual and import creation methods.

Import

To upload your schedules please navigate to ‘Block’ > ‘Unit list’ then click ‘More Actions’ again but this time choose ‘Import Units & Schedule Contributions’.

Here you will find two tabs. 'Usage Instructions' for downloading the template and 'Upload User Data' for importing.

Download the template and fill it out either of these ways:

Once complete, please save and upload your file to the 'Upload User Data' tab.

Once you have imported your sheet you will find the schedules in ‘Block’ > ‘Block Accounts’ > ‘Schedules’.

Here you can assign categories to each schedule by opening the schedule you would like to change (using the eye icon) and clicking on the 'Categories' tab.

Please tick the categories you require and click 'Update' at the bottom of the page to save.

Manual

If you wish to add a schedule manually simply navigate to 'Block' > 'Block Accounts' > 'Schedules' and select 'Add Schedule'. Here you will simply need to give your schedule a name, ID, type in each percentage and select the categories you wish.

If the units are all paying and equal amount you may click 'Distribute Contribution Evenly' button.
